The cheapest way to promote your music more effectively

                   

                                

                       When you take the time to put in you're actually investing in getting back. I say that because lately I've been having a lot of people ask me how do I get my music out there, how do I promote my music more effectively. You promote your music more effectively like this, have a definite plan & purpose then take action.
                      What I mean by that is this, when I was with death row records I never really had to worry about Promotion because it was already taken care of and all I had to do was focus on music. So when everything went haywire with Death Row, I started to promote myself. I found myself uploading song after song after song because the new technology kicking in which was computer, everybody was using it & everything was moving at a fast speed.
                       So I was trying to keep up but I was just scattered all over the place without a purpose

nor a plan so I wasn't getting the feedback that I expected. Thinking I can get online and have it the way I want it didn't quite pan out, I had to actually work. So I went back to the drawing board did a bunch of research & implemented different strategies. And the most effective strategy that seem to work was to stay hungry humble and honest, I started engaging with people and I realized that when you're interested in people they become interested in you without a doubt.
                        I started to notice that when I engage with people on Twitter they started engaging back followers started to shoot & elevate at a fast pace. So then I took that strategy to Soundcloud, start leaving comments, what I like about The song what particular line that stood out in the song the sound of the song instruments used etc to where they believe & knew for a fact that I really listened to their track & not just push it aside. I also did a lot of repost plays and likes on the platform and in return, the plays likes repost comments start pouring in. I was astound that it actually worked, so now when I promote I'm all over the place but I have a purpose and I have a plan & it all works out much smoother and so much cheaper.

MORE SOCIAL PROOF

 

                    As you probably know by now, It wasn't long before I had a major recording contract with Death Row Records sealed in a vanilla envelope stapled together with 150 pages right here in my very own hands. All the anticipation about me signing was talk of the city. From the radio, different record labels, & being mentioned throughout the streets. People everywhere was inquiring about the new artist Suge Knight was about to sign.

By that time, I had a double sided single out, one of the tracks was called 'Me & My Boyz' which was a song dedicated to all my homeboys from the hood. And the other track was called 'Going Back 2 Cali', which was a real controversial track, that got me plenty of exposure & it was placed on the 'Gang Related' sound track.

I was having the most incredible time of my life. My positive frequency stayed charged up, all good things were coming at me at full speed like a freight. I just stayed humbled & embraced them all. Kept the same circle of friends around me, cause that's what kept me grounded & a straight head on my shoulders as if none of this even existed.

Then one morning I woke up sort of early showered up, blazed up a nice one, then started working on my craft. It was about 2 & half hours in the middle of my writing, I receive a phone call from one the staff members, telling me I had studio time today at a certain time, and have a verse ready for 2pac's 'All About U'. I paused for a brief second cause I heard what he said, but I just didn't catch it as quick as he threw it at me. So I play it cool like yeah, ok I'll be there. So when I hit the studio, I walked in the building, took a deep breath step in the booth and 5 minutes later, This was the verse I left for the world to hear. Click Here. Blog Of My Life

                      As a kid I always had a love for music, but I was an artist so It wasn't really a passion or anything, I  just liked it. but I remember vividly, It was the year of 93, when I truly started having this desire for music & wanting to becoming a recording artist. I remember cause It was a bit hotter than average that summer and me and my buddy T -Mell used to sit around his house drinking up all the beverages & eat'N up the snacks while listening to a lot of underground rap, clowning around free styling to other artist's instrumentals like Busta Rhymes 'I Got You All In Check', Ras Kaz, Heltah Skeltah, Biggie, Wu Tang, Cube, 2Pac, Snoop, & Dre, until it was cool enough to go back outside & get with our other friends. But I remember every night after those lil freestyle sessions we had at T- Mell's house, I was more amped & enthused to go back the next day, just so I could listen to a few tracks & give it all I got trying to come thru better than I did the day before.

By the way I forgot to mention we was recording on the cassettes with the little recordable tape player so at the time we were able to listen to playback & the foolishness we slapped on tapes just to get a feel of recording. Shit was fun, few weeks went past & by this time I'm thinking to myself, I love doing this but where is it going. So me & T- Mell called ourselves forming our own alliance. We formed a group, we called 'The Dynamic Duo',I started taking it serious, so serious that I actually started sitting in the house more just because it felt good playing with different words making them rhyme & tie into a story. I thought that was cool shit, But as I found myself taking it more serious my sidekick T -Mell wasn't really enthused as I was. It wasn't until I found out my other buddy Jay Gee from the neighbor hood was getting down with the music also, and he serious about what he do. So me & Jay Gee linked up recorded hours and hours of tapes.

I'm serious when I say hours I mean hours, it was dope cause he was feeling the same way I was & had passion the same way I did so we connected easily. We had about five 60 minute cassettes with scratched up old ass labeling with tape holding the cassette together that we filled up front to back with a bunch of written stuff & freestyles in one night. I started learning more about putting bars together & how to finish & completing an entire composition. Music was becoming a passion. I was literally eating,, breathing,, sleeping,, my dreams would be about the label I wanna sign with the type of car I would drive, money, etc. It seemed like everything would be about music. I couldn't escape the feeling,  it felt exhilarating, it was like the universe was shifting it's gears to work in my favor.

Me & Jay Gee kept recording and by this I started reaching out to producers & engineers with low budget studios. At the time the hottest young DJ at the High School I attended which was Centennial High was DJ 2TUFF. I got at home about whipping up a demo cause I was fired up & I wanted to slide my music to different people for feedback. So 2TUFF & I got together, he had a chance to listen to some the music I had, he told me it's dope but he had something for me just give him a few days. With in a few days I receive a page, lol I know pagers right, I had a pretty cool looking one so hey. But any anyways it was 2Tuff with a track he played over the phone, I was listening to my very own custom made track he had made specially for me.

It blew my mind cause I was always rapping over other artist beats. And it was also wild because it was a track he thought suits me, which was a rough, rugged, raw sound that I was digging so I had no problem with it what so every. That track winded up being 'Me & My Boyz' that was my first real composition. A song dedicated to all my homeboys. Then I was smart enough to take one of my favorites & that was Lil Kim's 'Big Momma Thang' remixed it, called it 'East Side Thang'. I took my demo made a few copies, started calling & bugging the record label I was alway having dreams about, which was DeathRow Records, the most notorious record label to ever be. Ran by Suge Knight, whom had a bunch of mega stars flooding the music industry with dope music. It was crazy because I started running across some of these artist at the same time I was sending out demos to the company. So after getting down a few times at the angle I was trying to conduct business I some how met a guy by the name of Ron.
         
I was drawn to this guy because of his paintings he had displayed on the windows of his business. I walked threw the two doors of a quiet building with all sorts of things laying around everywhere, with one of those nice good inn sent smells circulating the building. He walks out from the back which seed. Like out of nowhere because of of the had laying around he pictured that had painted of snoop, 2pac, Suge, etc. so I asked him why did he have so many painting of these guys, do you like their music. He said no theses are his buddies then he went into a few funny crazy stories he encountered cause he hangs out a lot with these guys. My dreams were answered, I knew this had to be heaven sent cause I was drawn to him thru his art which I do also & it lead me to a source. Not only a source but a source with a relationship. Needless to say, but after having a few & sit downs with Mr. Ron & him linking me with J -Flex & J - Flex linking with O.F.T.B that was my big break, I was officially a member of the most notorious record label. Good day good people this post is really important to me cause most artists spend days,,weeks,,months even years writing, recording, and finalizing their songs, merch, and live performances for the marketplace, only to make repeated mistakes when it comes to promoting themselves. Don't let this be you. Here are six career-killing mistakes you want to be absolutely sure to avoid. 1. Not communicating a consistent brand Many artists fail to understand that literally everything – their name, logo, song titles, merch designs, slogans, mascots, attitude, and associations – affects the image that fans will form in their own minds.
             If there's any confusion (e.g., the title of the record or song doesn’t match the beliefs of the band, the color and fonts of the website don’t convey the identity of the band), the fans might not know what to think. It's difficult to believe in something that's not clearly defined. This is a no-no. Confusion equals disengaged fans, disengaged fans equal lack of money. Be sure yourmarketing is consistent! 2. Relying on internet marketing alone Many musicians utilize internet marketing techniques but fail to understand that there are nine other categories (publicity, advertising, word-of-mouth, guerrilla street marketing, radio promotion,sponsorships, sales promotions, direct marketing, and face-to-face selling). But in the crowded marketplace, this may not be enough to break through all the clutter and be seen and heard.
            No awareness equals no sales. Remember that the more places that you can deliver your message, the better! 3. A lack of social skills on social media Many artists forget to practice the same etiquette that exists offline, online. They invite me to gigs in New York when I live in LA. They send me messages that say, “Yo, check out my song.” And they send friend requests without having a profile picture (they use that creepy default head). This pisses me off. Pissed off fans equal lost awareness, which equals lost sales. Thus, to succeed in the music business, remember to be social on your social networks. After all, it’s called social networking. 4. Being afraid to sell Many artists feel that selling is sleazy, especially at their live shows.
            They fail to tell people that theirmerch table exists and that their T-shirts and records are on sale. But this lack of awareness equals no fan interaction, which equals no sales of your products and services. You don’t have to be pushy. Just convey your passion for your art, and inform people about why they should buy it. You’ll be glad you did! 5. Not promoting the benefits Most musicians tend to promote the features of their products and services (what the product is), rather than promote the benefits (why the fans should care). As a result, they never get to that next level of their careers. You see, no one really cares whether John Doe is playing at the House Of Blues tonight on Sunset Boulevard at 9:00 p.m. Rather, they really care about how John Doe’s music will make them feel, how they can meet beautiful people, and how parking and drinks will be cheap to purchase.
              Especially when you're new and just starting out, don’t just sell the features, sell the benefits. 6. Poor face-to-face selling techniques Many artists attend networking conferences (like SXSW, Taxi Road Rally, & other Music Conferences), but few understand how to "go in for the kill." They ramble on and on about theircareers when meeting people instead of eloquently presenting a 30-second elevator pitch that describes what they do and why people should care. They make hundreds of excuses (like, "It's notmixed yet," "I haven’t recorded the vocals yet," and "I'm going to redo the verses when I get home") when playing their music instead of shutting up and letting people listen. Even worse, they drink or party way too much and embarrass themselves by slobbering all overindustry folk while saying how much they "love them." And finally, they hand out their press materials (CDs, USB flash drives) to everybody that has a pocket instead of targeting their own audience. These are mistakes th@ cost you.So before your next convention, get your shit together. Think 1st, and act 2nd. You'll get so much more for ya money. Increasing Traffic To Your SoundCloud Page/Seo For Dummies

        
            

                     

                     Guud day to the universe my creator along with family & friends Lately I've really playing around & experimenting with my soundcloud page and came across some important information I call the (Seo For Dummies) cause anybody can do this & I would like to share this  with you guys...1st off needless to say with sound cloud don't expect many plays or more followers if your not giving your sound page any attention ,,meaning don't just post music & expect tons of plays & tons of followers etc because you feel like your song is hot,,unless you pay for it which I wouldn't recommend because the stats tend to look strange when you check website status & you got 100,000 plays with 1,500 comments on one song & when you scroll down to check out the next song it has 100 plays & one comment weird right,,Even th@ technique you follow 2,000 people hoping every person follows you back approach shouldn't be an option either,,@ least not in my book,,because what tends to happen is you follow all these people with different genres of music your probably not really interested in posted on you page which makes it harder to check out the people you really listen to...

                       So with th@ said I'm going to give you a few simple tips th@ should help you guys out a lot by increasing followers,,plays comments etc,,proof is in the pudding just check out my page {Click Here} you can see where I just posted music getting only a few hundred plays within a year or two until I implemented my strategy which are now getting me major results within days...1st things 1st,,image is everything so make sure U have a nice profile pic th@ catch people eye,,2nd before making sharing your song make sure you label it correctly by using keywords for instance instead of just putting the title of your song first add a keyword at the beginning like "new rap" then the title of your song with the link to your website..This direct traffic to your profile when someone searches the keyword you use..

                      3rd. tags tags tags use as many as possible,,this also helps generate a lil more traffic & new followers to your page gaining you more plays & followers...4th.This step is the meat & bread for all sound cloud users because it requires engaging with other creative artist by following leaving comments likes & reposts...Note: other artist do see this...Cause when you mingle meet shake hands & rub elbows people love th@ stuff & they will do the same & help you out as well gaining you a few more followers & plays likes repost & comments...with th@ being said if you implement these techniques & put @ least 30 min a day using them you will see a big difference on your sound cloud. you might wanna follow me on my journey and bend your ear to my single on my album #MONEYMUSICSEX to listen Click This Link...

HELP AN ANGEL GET HER WING

                     Good day to the universe my creator along with family & friends.Today's post is about a real close friend of mine's daughter who really needs your help & support. Daziyah is a bright & smart honor roll student who dreams of becoming an Veteinarian due to her love for animals (especially dogs).On August 10,2014 while outside skating & playing with friends & her two dogs Daziyah's life was suddenly changed within minutes.One of her dogs (Rottweiler) started bitting her on the left leg. As she used her right arm to fight him off he locked on her right arm and continually got more aggressive with no release.

                     Thankfully we have walking angels who risked their life to save hers,and was able to get the dog to let go of her arm. Daziyah was rushed into emergency surgery to repair/save her arm. Unfortunately,the damage was beyond repair. She had to have her amputated below her elbow. Throughout this ordeal Daziyah has remained humble and strong with unbelievable courage & strength you can't imagine a nine year old would have.Daziyah spent nine days in the hospital and is now home with her family. 

                     The journey before her is a long one,but we believe that miracles do happen. Thanks to modern technology she would be able to get a bionic arm,but we need financial support for the multiple prosthetic she will need due to her continued growth. Today in "The most recommended"we have some exciting news from one of the music industry's biggest icon,,,BEYONCE made her announcement the other night @ the MTV VMA's without saying a word...

                       The 29 year old superstar made announcement on the red carpet by holding her stomach in an "I'm expecting" sort of way,,,Sporting a red flowing gown and using her hands to show off the imprint of a tiny baby bumb...A publicist for the pop star confirmed the pregnancy to The Associated Press Sunday..
BEYONCE and JAY -Z were married in 2008...This will be their first child together...
                        BEYONCE got onstage later in the show, telling viewers, "I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me."
@ the end of her performance, she unbuttoned the sequined blazer she was wearing and rubbed her tummy on stage. The camera cut away to JAY -Z, who beamed a broad smile congrats to those two...

DMX Taking the state of Arizona to court

                         Hey !!! What's goodie good gud creator,,universe,,family & freinds....
Today in the "most recommended" DMX,,now the hommie X was arrested Wednesday night for speeding..Reports say X was driving 102 mph in a 65 mph zone on a suspended license..Now DMX  was recently released from prison after serving eight months on a twelve month bid for a parole violation of drug uses...
                          X has been arrested @ least a half dozen times since living in Arizona...After his arrest rapper say he was unfairly targeted & the speed of 100 mph was exaggerated... X say"I was going 85 miles per hour ... I know for a fact I didn't go more than 90," he said. "I'm used to driving fast, I'm a New Yorker ... but I constantly look at the speedometer when I'm driving ... I need to make sure I don't drive too fast."
                           
                             X plans to file a lawsuit against the state of Arizona for harassment,,X says th@ he's in discussion with multiple lawyers th@ are not afraid to go against the system in clearing his name...Reps of DMX say th@ this situation is blown way out of proportion and also the report given by Sgt. Rudy Lujan of AHP, was exaggerated according to the people present..X was held in jail for 1 hour after being released on bond...He also states th@ he do admit going 85 mph but 100 mph was exaggerated & harassment by Arizona law Enforcement...DMX says this, 'God brought me to Phoenix and I'm not going to let no man run me and my family from our home!'Despite of being in the public eye DMX is doing everything he could to put criminal charges behind him & focus on music...

RAPPER SCARFACE RELEASED FROM PRISON & WORKING ON NEW ALBUM

Hey,,hey,,hey !!
                 Good day to the universe my creator along with family & friends,,hope all is swell & hope everyone had a splendid weekend..While I have more good news for you guys,,some of you would probably be surprised & others might not trip out too tough..But for me surprised because I'm a big SCARFACE fan and for the last year or so I was wondering where did this guy barricade himself & why havent I been hearing any thing coming from this well known individual form the group "GHETTO BOYZ"... Well after nearly a year in prison, SCARFACE is reportedly a free man. According to HHW 'FACE was released from Harris County Jail where he remained incarcerated for failing to pay child support on four different cases..
                What's really unusual is th@ they concealed this information from the public for four months,,And It was finally confirmed on Thursday th@ the Texas rapper was incarcerated last Oct. & held in the Montgomery County Jail..FACE is also facing additional federal charges that have not yet been updated & publicly disclosed..Before being incarcerated FACE was working on his Twelfth album "THE HABIT" which I know is going to be worth waiting for with features from DRAKE & JOHN LEGEND and a few other guest appearances...
                   Despite all the bullshit th@ the media leaks out never mentioning anything good for a cause,,FACE is back home relaxing & working on a bunch of new material to be released to the streets & according to representatives,,it wont take no time for the artist to get the ball back rolling..This just comes to show you you're here one day gone the next without anyone even noticing,,and the only people it matters to is the ones who truly love you ..Welcome home FACE stay up & enjoy your freedom hommie,,after all you are a legend in this game we need you around..
